Remote access instructions for "informal learning"

Getting ready

To increase the quality of your eMeeting experience, please attend to the following before the meeting

  1. Review the white paper.
  2. Prepare to use WebEx: Go to http://trainingcenter1.webex.com.
    • New to WebEx?
      • Look on the left side of your screen, just below the WebEx logo, and click "New User?" Follow the prompts to download a client for your computer. Allow at least 15 minutes for the download, and another 15-30 minutes to become familiar with WebEx.
      • Then proceed to registration.
    • Already a WebEx user? You're ready to attend.

Attending the meeting

The meeting �room� will be accessible beginning at 7:30 a.m. PDT.

  • Attend
    1. Go to https://mcdemo1.webex.com/mcdemo1/j.php?ED=76915766&UID=7642151 (If prompted for a meeting number, use 692258187. If prompted for a password, enter america)
    2. Write down the meeting # and password in case you happen to get disconnected.
    3. Dial 1-866-289-3239 (US and Canada) or 1-408-678-2429 (International)

Once you are in, please note...

  • Put your phone on mute until you are prompted by the meeting host to introduce yourself.
  • Get the speakers� presentations, if you want, via the meeting announcement page.
  • During the meeting, use WebEx to provide feedback, ask questions or comment about the content presented.
    • Rick Huebsch, the Remote Participant Facilitator/Champion will direct your inputs into the meeting at appropriate times, providing you the segue to add or respond as needed.
    • If a problem with your connection to WebEx occurs during the meeting, email Rick Huebsch.
  • We are also providing a connection via AOL Instant Messenger (AIM); put elearningforum on your buddy list. [Real-time webmaster note: I don't have a working laptop after all...so please use the WebEx discussion and the community page. Anyone have a working laptop to sell, cheap?]
