— Pilot project (with numerous partners and 13 firms of varying size) -----> “Nœringlivets KompetanseNett AS” (planned launch on August 1, 2000)

— Focus, at least initially, on IT, Health-Environment- Safety, Project Management, and English

— Wants to give recognition to “demonstrated competence” (“realkompetanse”)

— Goal to be intermediary/broker/facilitator/catalyst for eLearning rather than competitor to other vendors
